Cyworld.com

Hello~ everyone! I will present on Cyworld next Monday. Cyworld is a South Korean website which is a common social network similar to Facebook and Myspace. 90 perscents of young people has Cyworld account and Cyworld mobile has brought in over 2.5 million user in South Korea. Today, Cyworld operates its site in the United States, China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, as well as South Korea. Many Korean and Chinese stars have their own account on Cyworld to communicate with their fans. Actually I am a beginner to use this website and I just sign up in the website last week. If you never heard this website before, I will introduce it and share some fun with you.

Cyworld.com is doing well in South Korea but I think there is lot of competition in US market and today cyber market is saturated with cyber networking communities. Cyworld.com will have to offer something new or different to do as good in US market.

Interesting article. It sounds like a cool site. I think it’s a little strange that you have to give your SS #. Also, I think it users might prefer myspace and facebook simply because they don't have to pay to decorate their home page. Most college kids don't have too much extra cash to through around. I do think the avatar thing is very cute though. It would be cool if myspace or Facebook offered that.
